North Dunes
Wallhanging made from sari silk torn strips. Based on a photograph taken at the beach after the storms of December 2013 on the east coast of England. The sea scoured the shoreline and took all the pebbles away.Shown at Textiles in Focus at Cottenham February 2015 as part of "Tin Hut Textiles" Exhibition,
Annie’s Walk
Wall hanging made for my friend who completed La Camino de Santiago de Compostello, the pilgrims walk in Northern Spain in 2014. Exhibited at Textiles in Focus Cottenham in February 2015

Catching Up
Well after several days of non stop stitching have almost finished Chloe's Quilt - just need to add the hand sewn buttons. Will photograph tomorrow. Also Log Cabin Studio is nearly ready. Husband and son have worked for 2 solid days and walls and roof are done, just need windows and roof tiles, then electrician coming next week to wire up and by next weekend will have a private place to work!

First Post
I've set up this blog to encourage me to get on with both my stitching and experimenting with textile art. My new Log Cabin (Studio) came in kit form this week and I hope to have it fully built and ready to move into by the end of Easter week. I can then concentrate on completing my textiles for 2 Exhibitions in June and October. (I have a lot of fabric stash sorting before then!)
